As part of our role to support, reassure and provide security to our customers, we also have the responsibility as a company to care for the environment, our people and the communities that we’re part of.

Research and education

We want to be able to adapt and protect our customers against the risks of the future as well as those of today. That’s where research and education come in.​​​​​​​

AXA Research Fund

We can’t protect against what we don’t yet understand. So the AXA Research Fund was created to encourage scientific research that would contribute to understanding and preventing environmental, life, and socio-economic risks.


As part of the AXA Group partnership with CARE, the international humanitarian NGO, we’re helping vulnerable populations to better prepare for climate-related risks.

Our impact

We’re constantly looking for new ways to reduce our environmental impact. We've made great progress in reducing our day-to-day impact and we’ve set ourselves some challenging CO2, paper and water reduction targets. Here’s how things are shaping up so far:

50 %
has come from renewable sources since 2009.

60 %
is now being recycled.

We’re also modernising lifts in our offices and replacing inefficient air conditioning. We’re installing energy efficient boilers and lighting with movement sensors, and we’re using zero emission electric vans for short journeys around the Tunbridge Wells campus. Plus, across all sites, we bring our own cups and mugs to work so that we can save on the amount of plastic we use.
